At the 2026 Gratitude Network Summit in San Francisco, California, our executive director Genein Letford, M.Ed., founder of the Arizona Brain Capital Alliance, shared the 7 Pillars of Brain Capital, highlighting practical strategies to strengthen both brain health and brain skills across the lifespan.
Using the book, My Brain’s Symphony, Genein demonstrated how brain science can move beyond research conferences and into everyday practices that help children, families, educators, and community leaders flourish.
The seven pillars include:

🥦 Fuel Foods: Nourishing the brain for optimal functioning
🏃 Movement: Supporting brain health through physical activity
💜 Peace: Managing stress and strengthening emotional regulation

With nonprofit leaders representing countries including Kenya, India, Madagascar, nations across South America, and the United States, the session highlighted why brain capital is a global priority and how community organizations can help translate brain research into meaningful action.
Aligned with the Summit’s theme, “Rooted & Rising: Cultivate. Collaborate. Lead,” Genein emphasized that developing brain capital is essential for building stronger leaders, healthier communities, and flourishing societies.
